Matthias Schlesner‘s research focuses on the development and application of computational methods for the analysis of large biomedical datasets.

His team‘s main interest is to make such data sets, e.g. from omics analyses,??usable for research, diagnostics and ultimately also to improve patient care.

The research team employs statistical and machine learning techniques to identify patterns in the data, which are then used to deduce biological mechanisms and causal relationships, or which can be used as markers for diagnostics, disease monitoring, and patient stratification.??
