Before returning to Germany, Sebastian was a tenure-track Assistant Professor of 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】ia Effects at KU Leuven (Belgium). In the last couple of years, Sebastian worked in the U.S. at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Wisconsin-Madison and at Texas A&M 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】, where he earned his tenure and was promoted to the rank of an Associate Professor. His research focuses on individual and structural susceptibility factors for media effects in health communication, which he also focuses on in his teaching. He received several awards for excellence in research and teaching, and he is excited to start building mentoring relationships with students in Augsburg.

The chair is part of the research focus "Digital Health Research and Artificial Intelligence" and is integrated into the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Research (ZIG).
