The workshop at the Chair of Inclusive Health Care will address health equity and intersectionality with a special focus on its integration into research and practice with people with disabilities. The workshop will be led by Dr. Christine Kelly from the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Manitoba, Canada and will be held in English.

The workshop is intended for graduate students or (post-)doctoral health services researcher at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg or 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 Hospital Augsburg with a particular interest on disability-inclusion. The number of participants is limited to 15 people.

Participants will receive a shared reading list with some prompting questions to be read prior to the workshop. Both workshop days will include input from Dr. Kelly on the origins and evolution of health equity and intersectionality. Activities will be prepared to stimulate discussion amongst participants. The workshop also includes exercises to strengthen reflexivity, including becoming aware of potential own biases in health service research and recognizing the diverse needs of people with disability.
