Thomas has a background in agronomy, ecology and soil sciences, with a particular focus on soil erosion and pollutant transfer. His research combines field-based sample analysis with modelling approaches to better understand and reconstruct soil and contaminant movements driven by lateral erosion processes during erosive events. Thomas is particularly interested in soil-related topics at the intersection of agriculture and water. He is also enthusiastic about statistics, modelling, and machine learning, primarily using R, and is particularly attentive to creating informative and aesthetically compelling data visualisations as a key tool for exploring and communicating scientific findings.
