Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Kerstin Stemmer studied biology at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Konstanz. After completing her master’s degree and a one-year research stay at the German Institute of Human Nutrition in Potsdam and the Max Delbrück Center in Berlin, she earned her doctorate in human and environmental toxicology at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Konstanz in 2009. Alongside her doctoral studies, Prof. Stemmer undertook additional training as a specialist toxicologist from the German Society of Toxicology (DGPT) and obtained European registration as a toxicologist (ERT). After serving as a postdoctoral fellow at the Metabolic Diseases Institute of the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Cincinnati in the USA, she returned to Germany in 2012 to become group leader at the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity at the Helmholtz Center in Munich. During the same time, she completed her habilitation at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Konstanz and was awarded the venia legendi for pharmacology and toxicology in 2018. In 2020, she was appointed Professor at the Faculty of 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】icine at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Giessen. Since 2021, Ms. Stemmer has held the position of Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at the Institute of Theoretical 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】icine at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg.
