Abstract:
The lecture will highlight the role of patient-specific immune response in COVID and other viral diseases, with implications for both the acute and post-acute course. Characterizing the immune signatures of long COVID and ME/CFS patients is crucial to identifying markers for predicting long-term effects. Furthermore, an increasing amount of data is showing the impact of viral infections on the human microbiome, which has a significant influence on the immune system.
