During his visit, he gave a lecture titled "Redox Communication Between Biology and Electronics: An Interkingdom Gut-on-Chip Study."
Dual Doctorate
We are pleased to announce that Christopher Heuer has successfully completed the Dual Doctorate Program at Leibniz 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 Hannover (Institute for Technical Chemistry) and Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering). Through his outstanding achievements, he has now earned the title of Doctor from Germany and a PhD from Israel. Congratulations, Dr. Heuer, on this impressive academic achievement!
Press Augsburg
At the Institute of Physics at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg, scientists develop so-called microfluidic systems that are used for biomedical and biotechnological purposes. Cell cultures can grow under controlled conditions on small chips or entire laboratories can be used for individual diagnostics. The Chair of "Technical Biology" headed by Prof. Dr. Janina Bahnemann uses computer-aided design software and high-resolution 3D printing technology for this purpose. The systems are particularly efficient and offer great potential for automating laboratory work. One of the major projects at the chair is funded by the DFG's Emmy Noether program.
