Scoping Workshops are events for researchers who wish to think beyond their current projects and reflect on the future of their field. Together with around 30 experts, they develop ideas on how their discipline might evolve in terms of content or its academic framework. The focus is entirely on discussion and intensive exchange.

Funded Scoping Workshops take place on set dates at the Conference Center Schloss Herrenhausen in Hanover. Various rooms and a professional technical infrastructure are available for hosting the events. In addition to providing this infrastructure, funded workshops receive support in the form of personnel, travel, and material costs, as well as assistance with organizational tasks.
