The 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg is seeking to appoint an internationally recognised and highly distinguished academic with proven high-level performance in research and teaching. Key selection criteria are extensive success in obtaining third-party funding and high-ranking publications. The ability and willingness to participate in academic self-administration and digital teaching are required.

Candidates should be internationally distinguished in the field of philosophy including the history of early modern philosophy and systematic philosophy with specialization in ethics. The candidate is supposed to excel in research and teaching. Independent research on early modern philosophy, on philosophical ethics and on relevant discourses of analytic ethics is desirable.

The official language for this position is German. In teaching, tasks range from teaching in the framework of the B.A. in philosophy (as major and minor subject) and of the M.A. in philosophy “Deutung, Wertung, Wissenschaft” (“Interpretation, Evaluation, Science”) over the education of students who are doing classes given by the chair in the context of optional and minor subjects of a variety of other degree courses to the supervision of students of the additional subject of ethics for teachers at high schools, primary, secondary and secondary modern schools. Furthermore a participation in the degree courses of M.A. in “Umweltethik” (“Environmental Ethics”) and/or M.A. in “Ethik der Textkulturen” (“Ethics of the Scriptural Civilizations”), which are offered by the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】-Theological Faculty respectively by the Philological-Historical Faculty, is desirable.

In addition to the general requirements under public service law, the prerequisites for employment pursuant to Art. 57 Para. 1 BayHIG are a completed university degree, pedagogical aptitude, and the special aptitude for academic work typically demonstrated by the quality of doctorate, as well as additional academic achievement through a habilitation or equivalent qualification, which may have been achieved outside of the university sector or through a junior professorship. Leadership of a junior research group is considered an equivalent academic achievement under the conditions specified in Art. 98 Para 10 Sentence 5 BayHIG.

Appointment as a public servant can only take place so long as one is not over 52 years of age. Otherwise, employment is possible within the framework of an employment contract under private law.
