At the Faculty of Applied Computer Science at the 威尼斯赌博游戏_威尼斯赌博app-【官网】 of Augsburg, the position for a Research Assistant (m/f/d) at the Professorship for Computational Linguistics at the Institute of Computer Science is to be filled as soon as possible in the scope of regular working hours (100%) in a three-year fixed-term employment relationship. If the personal and collective agreement requirements are met, remuneration will be based on salary group TV-L 13. The position can be carried out as part-time work. Computational linguistics (natural language processing) is an interdisciplinary field that combines linguistics and computer science in order to use computers to investigate aspects of human language and to develop language technology. Our focus is on the development and application of computer-based models and algorithms for the analysis and understanding of natural language (computational semantics) with applications to digital humanities. To this end, we are researching machine learning methods (especially deep learning). The position to be filled can involve either a doctorate or a postdoc phase.
