Academic Immigration Office "Hochschulbetreuungsstelle": Information for Students and Researchers from Non-EU-Countries
The so-called “Hochschulbetreuungsstelle” or Academic Immigration Office houses a branch of the Migration and Residence Department (formerly known as "Ausl?nderbeh?rde" / Foreigners' Office) of the City of Augsburg and a counseling office (of the International Office) for students and academic staff of both Augsburg universities. It is located in Eichleitnerstra?e 30 (Campus “Alte Universit?t”), building F2, 1st floor, 86159 Augsburg.

Due to frequent appointments out of office, please send an email for first contact! Even in urgent matters, an e-mail enquiry is the quicker and more practical option, which is usually answered within 48 hours. If possible, always attach a photo of your visa or residence permit (incl. supplementary sheet). This speeds up and facilitates the consultation considerably!
